December 18: "Agricultural Product Wholesale Price 200 Index" Drops 0.02 Points from Yesterday

According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "Agricultural Product Wholesale Price 200 Index" stood at 130.59 on December 18, down 0.02 points from the previous day. The "Vegetable Basket" product wholesale price index was 133.51, a decrease of 0.03 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the national average wholesale price of pork in agricultural product markets was 17.51 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday. Beef prices were 65.73 yuan/kg, down 0.4%, while lamb prices fell 0.8% to 62.40 yuan/kg. Egg prices dropped 0.1% to 7.41 yuan/kg, and chicken prices remained unchanged at 17.82 yuan/kg.

The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 5.90 yuan/kg, declining 0.5% from yesterday. Meanwhile, the average price of six key fruits rose 0.4% to 7.66 yuan/kg.

In the seafood category, crucian carp prices fell 1.0% to 19.43 yuan/kg, carp prices dropped 1.0% to 13.75 yuan/kg, and silver carp prices plunged 4.1% to 10.00 yuan/kg. Large hairtail prices decreased 1.7% to 38.91 yuan/kg.

Among the 46 key monitored agricultural products in domestic wholesale markets today, the top five gainers were pineapple, onion, eggplant, scallion, and Kyoho grapes, with increases of 3.2%, 2.1%, 1.8%, 1.6%, and 1.3%, respectively. The top five decliners were silver carp, bighead carp, cucumber, cauliflower, and lettuce, with drops of 4.1%, 3.7%, 3.2%, 2.4%, and 2.2%, respectively.
