The presence of gold within a polymetallic system on September 30 means that evaluation work must simultaneously consider the relationships between different minerals.
ZFX Mountain & Sea Securities notes that Critical One has disclosed gold-bearing drill intervals beneath the Howells Lake East zone, with one seven-metre interval averaging 1.49 grams per tonne. This result enriches understanding of the underground structure, but it cannot yet demonstrate at what cost the gold could ultimately be recovered.
The company plans to use larger-diameter drilling to obtain more metallurgical research material. ZFX Mountain & Sea Securities believes that both the number of samples and their representativeness will affect test conclusions, and that research should cover different ore types rather than selecting only high-grade portions. Only by clarifying how the gold occurs and the conditions under which it can be separated from minerals such as antimony can a potential processing route be further assessed.
Similar gold grades may correspond to different grinding requirements, recovery rates, and downstream processing costs. Early assays describe sample content, while process testing answers what proportion can be extracted; the two types of information cannot substitute for each other. The existing intervals also represent core length, with true width not yet determined, further limiting estimates of the overall scale of mineralisation.
Metal co-occurrence sometimes adds recoverable products, but it may also increase sorting complexity, and the actual effect must be determined by representative testing. ZFX Mountain & Sea Securities judges that the next step should be to observe remaining assays, mineralisation extension drilling, and metallurgical research together. If geological continuity and processing feasibility gradually become clear, the economic role of gold will be easier to measure.
At this stage, it is appropriate to discuss research direction and incremental evidence, but not yet appropriate to use metal prices to directly convert a project's future earnings.
