STRAWBEAR ENT released its sixth Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report covering 1 January–31 December 2025, detailing progress on climate strategy, workforce development and governance.
The board—supported by a three-tier ESG governance structure comprising an ESG Committee and an ESG working group—approved the report on 24 March 2026. The company maintained an A rating from Wind for the fourth consecutive year and received multiple accolades, including the “2025 ESG Listed Company Model Award” and the Hong Kong “ESG Connect Pioneer Gold Medal”.
Environmental metrics underline the group’s relatively light footprint but rising disclosure depth: • Total greenhouse-gas emissions (Scope 1 + 2) reached 52.64 tCO₂-e, equal to 0.05 tCO₂-e per RMB million of revenue. • Direct emissions (Scope 1) were 20.10 tCO₂-e; indirect electricity-related emissions (Scope 2) 32.54 tCO₂-e. • Comprehensive energy consumption was 16.64 t of standard-coal equivalent, or 0.02 t per RMB million revenue. • Water use fell to 1,025 tonnes (0.996 t per RMB million revenue). • Hazardous waste remained negligible at 0.039 t; non-hazardous waste totalled 5.10 t.
The company has introduced qualitative targets to tighten energy, water and waste controls, and is building a carbon-management system while extending green practices—such as virtual filming, digital asset libraries and low-carbon commuting incentives—across production and offices.
On the social front STRAWBEAR ENT employed 80 staff, with women accounting for 67.5%. Female representation on the seven-member board was 28.6%. The 2025 staff turnover rate dropped to 11.25%, all employees received training (average 11.3 hours each) and there were zero work-related injuries or fatalities. Supplementary medical cover, flexible work-from-home provisions and monthly “green commute” attendance rewards were highlighted.
Supply-chain oversight tightened via a sustainable-procurement policy; 219 suppliers underwent ESG-linked assessments. No breaches of anti-corruption, data-privacy or intellectual-property rules were reported. All senior staff completed integrity training delivered by external specialists.
Community engagement focused on children with special needs and rural revitalisation. Employees logged 48 volunteer hours, and the company donated RMB 10,000 to local charity initiatives. In early 2026 it contributed RMB 60,000 to fund water-storage infrastructure in a Sichuan village identified during on-location filming.
Operationally, STRAWBEAR ENT bolstered its content portfolio, launching six high-profile drama and short-form series, extending IP derivatives into cultural-tourism projects and maintaining collaborations with major platforms such as iQIYI. Content reflecting ESG themes—including the in-development “green film list”—underscores the group’s strategy of integrating sustainability principles throughout its creative and production processes.
