Visa is presenting its latest innovations at the 2026 China International Supply Chain Expo, marking its fourth consecutive year of participation.
Focused on the theme of connecting global payments and empowering business growth, the company is highlighting its trusted payment infrastructure, global money flow solutions, and data intelligence and AI-driven commercial capabilities, all designed to help businesses enhance supply chain collaboration efficiency.
Key Showcase Highlights
At the expo, Visa is demonstrating several significant achievements, including the Beijing "Central Axis Barrier-Free Payment Tourism Demonstration Zone," which has already enabled over 5,000 micro and small businesses to upgrade their foreign card acceptance capabilities.
The Shanghai "Visa Friendly Payment Demonstration Zone" has optimized the acceptance environment along eight major international tourist routes and innovatively implemented a mobile phone camera scan-to-pay solution.
The "Tap & Ride" experience is now available in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Guangzhou.
Expanding Payment Options and Business Solutions
Visa supports Chinese cardholders in linking their Visa cards to Apple Pay for use in offline, online, and in-app scenarios overseas.
During the exhibition, the company is showcasing its corporate travel and entertainment (T&E) solutions, corporate procurement and SME card solutions, as well as its Visa Commercial Pay capabilities.
Its Visa Direct service now covers 195 countries and regions, supports over 150 currencies, and is applicable for scenarios such as supplier payments, payroll, and e-commerce settlements.
Strategic Partnerships and Advanced Commerce
Visa has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with Lakala to explore advancing the digitization of cross-border B2B payments through a Bulk Payment Service Provider (BPSP) model.
The company is also exhibiting its Visa Intelligent Commerce solution, which integrates APIs and a partner program, with its core architecture being the Trusted Agent Protocol that verifies AI agent identity and transaction intent through a dedicated cryptographic signature mechanism.
Currently in the Asia-Pacific region, Visa is collaborating with partners including Ant International, LG Uplus, Microsoft, Perplexity, Stripe, and Tencent to promote intelligent commercial applications.
Future Developments and Scaling
Furthermore, Visa has already completed hundreds of real transactions initiated by AI in North America and the Asia-Pacific region and plans to further expand the scaled application of this technology in 2026.
