On October 15, the three major A-share indices opened collectively lower and then fluctuated downward. The Shanghai Composite Index lost the 3,700-point mark, while both the ChiNext Index and the STAR 50 fell more than 3%. The market displayed a divergent pattern of "collective index decline, broad-based stock losses, and weak theme rotation." As of the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.98% to 3,692.65 points, the Shenzhen Component Index dropped 2.78% to 11,773.45 points, and the ChiNext Index declined 3.42% to 2,768.63 points. Market Overview

On the trading board, on the gaining side, the AI comic drama concept, PCB concept, baijiu, and innovative drugs sectors showed counter-trend activity. On the losing side, shipping, coal mining and processing, oil and gas extraction and services, CPO, and semiconductor sectors led the declines. Overall, dragged down by overnight losses on U.S. stocks, capital flowed significantly out of technology sectors such as electronics and semiconductors, with some flowing into pharmaceuticals and baijiu. The characteristics of weak theme rotation were evident, with over 5,000 stocks across the entire market declining.

Hot Sectors

1. AI Comic Drama Concept Repeatedly Strengthens

The AI comic drama concept repeatedly strengthened, with Ciwen Media hitting its fifth consecutive limit up, Huanrui Century recording its third limit up in five days, Duzhe Publishing hitting the daily limit up, Electronic Soul Network achieving its second consecutive limit up, and Dooke Culture touching the 20cm limit up intraday. Commentary: On the news front, Tencent recently launched a short drama mini-program embedded within the WeChat ecosystem, positioning itself around "free quality dramas, watch with one tap," directly targeting ByteDance's Hongguo Short Drama with 168 million daily active users. Data from the National Radio and Television Administration shows that in the first eight months of this year, 430,000 micro short dramas were launched nationwide, with AI dramas accounting for over 90%. According to estimates by the DataEye Research Institute, the combined market size of domestic micro short dramas, AI dramas, and comic dramas is expected to exceed 121 billion yuan by 2026.

2. PCB Concept Shows Active Performance

The PCB concept showed active performance, with Jinlu Electronics hitting the 20cm limit up, Chonda Technology hitting the daily limit up, Junya Technology recording its second limit up in three days, Aohong Electronics achieving its 11th limit up in 19 days to continue hitting a record high, and Tianjin Printronics hitting the daily limit up. Commentary: On the news front, Jinlu Electronics released its earnings forecast for the first three quarters of 2026 on the evening of October 14, expecting net profit attributable to shareholders of 180 million to 196 million yuan for the first three quarters, a year-on-year increase of 192.88% to 218.92%, with third-quarter net profit attributable to shareholders of 124 million to 140 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1,266.91% to 1,442.76%. The company stated it fully grasped market opportunities arising from the structural supply-demand imbalance in the printed circuit board industry, focusing on application areas such as computing infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and satellite communications. Additionally, on October 13, copper-clad laminate manufacturers including Kingboard Laminates raised product prices.

3. Baijiu Sector Strengthens Against the Trend

The baijiu sector strengthened against the trend, with Huangtai Liquor hitting its second limit up in three days, Golden Seed Liquor rising over 6%, and Jinhui Liquor and others following suit. Commentary: On the news front, according to feedback from distributors, wholesalers, and terminal retailers in Henan, Shandong, Guangdong, Anhui, and other regions, channel inventory is generally still being destocked, with some surveyed liquor merchants seeing inventory decline of about 10% to 20% year-on-year. Turnover of major single-product famous liquors is relatively fast, and some terminal inventories have been controlled to one to two months. More and more liquor merchants are adopting small-batch, quick-replenishment approaches, directing limited funds toward products with more stable sales momentum.
