Ant Group CEO: AI Payments Driven by Agent Execution and Token Value

Deep News05-26

At the AI Payment Ecosystem Conference held by Alipay today, Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi delivered a keynote speech. He stated that the essence of AI payment lies in using Agent as the execution vehicle for payments and Token as the value vehicle.

Specifically, employing Agent as the execution vehicle offers advantages such as autonomous decision-making, the ability to invoke tools and APIs, the capability to pause at critical nodes for confirmation, and full traceability and auditability throughout the process. Meanwhile, using Token as the value vehicle can reduce costs by up to 90%.

He further noted that intelligent agents are reshaping decision-making authority, shifting it from humans to Agents. This shift is driving three significant changes:

First, the transition from people seeking services to services proactively finding people. The traditional traffic-based logic is becoming obsolete, while trust-based logic is gaining prominence. Agents can understand user intent and actively match them with the most suitable services.

Second, the shift from commodity transactions to task-based transactions. For instance, users no longer simply purchase flight tickets but instead buy a complete and seamless business travel experience. The unit of transaction evolves from individual SKUs to comprehensive solutions.

Third, the transformation from a bilateral market to a multi-party network. Users, Agents, service providers, and payment network data parties collaborate in real-time, fundamentally rewriting the logic of value creation and distribution.
