Drone Maintenance Program Paves the Way for Next Spring Farming Season

Deep News06:30

As field crop protection operations wrap up for the season, efforts are now shifting to address potential safety hazards and extend the lifespan of agricultural drones.

Recently, the 856 branch of Beidahuang Agricultural Co., Ltd. organized a dedicated technical team to carry out a comprehensive autumn inspection and winter storage maintenance program for its crop protection drones, seizing the slower farming period to reinforce safety measures for intelligent agricultural machinery.

The maintenance initiative follows the principle of combining upkeep with repair, meticulous management, and thorough inspection, specifically targeting common issues such as mud and pesticide residue buildup, component wear, and blocked pipelines that arise after field operations.

Technicians are conducting detailed checks and cleaning of external components including the fuselage, propellers, arms, and landing gear, promptly replacing any cracked or deformed damaged parts. Additionally, the pesticide tank, filters, delivery hoses, and nozzles are being disassembled and cleaned to completely remove chemical residue, ensuring the spraying system remains unclogged and stable.

Core systems such as motors, electronic control positioning, and signal transmission are also undergoing comprehensive testing and calibration, with electrical fault checks and firmware updates being performed. Batteries, chargers, and other auxiliary equipment are receiving special attention, and protective measures against moisture and freezing are being strictly implemented for the winter period.

Looking ahead, the 856 branch will continue to strengthen the management of intelligent agricultural machinery, offering routine drone maintenance services to build a solid equipment foundation for stable yields, bumper harvests, and high-quality agricultural development in the upcoming spring planting season.
