On April 22, NetEase Yanxuan officially inaugurated its Global Pet Innovation R&D Center in Hangzhou. Concurrently, the company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with SGS, an internationally recognized testing, inspection, and certification organization.
The new R&D center is located within NetEase's Phase III campus in Hangzhou. It integrates scientific feeding, efficacy testing, nutritional research, and results exhibition, providing comprehensive support for pet product development. Moving forward, the center will offer full-spectrum technical backing for pet products through core activities such as product demand analysis, formula development, and pet behavior observation.
During the unveiling ceremony, NetEase Yanxuan also entered into a strategic partnership with SGS. The two parties will jointly establish a collaborative innovation platform integrating industry, academia, research, and inspection. This initiative will provide precise nutrition and safety assessments for Yanxuan Pet's core raw materials and processes, while also developing group standards for specific product categories. Additionally, both sides will work toward creating an end-to-end transparent trust system enabling full traceability.
It is reported that SGS is the first third-party joint venture inspection agency in China to receive ISO 17020 accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). NetEase Yanxuan and SGS have maintained a deep collaborative relationship for ten years.
Public information indicates that NetEase Yanxuan Pet has long engaged in extensive cooperation with renowned universities, resulting in the joint publication of multiple SCI and core journal papers. In terms of rigorous testing—a key concern for consumers—the brand implements a "20-step forward and reverse control" system that exceeds national standards.
Since its establishment, NetEase Yanxuan Pet has launched several popular products, including whole-family cat food, dual-blend cat food, and fresh-steamed pet food, earning numerous domestic industry awards such as the International Pet Orange Dot Award.
