Stock Track | Oceaneering Plunges 7.43% in After-Hours Trading Following 28% Drop in Q1 Net Income

Stock Track04-23

Oceaneering International Inc. experienced a significant after-hours plunge of 7.43% following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results.

The company reported a 28% decline in net income to $36.1 million, with adjusted EBITDA sliding 13% to $83.7 million. The earnings were pressured by an ADTech contract-dispute resolution accrual, overshadowing a 3% revenue increase to $692 million, which exceeded analyst estimates.

While Oceaneering maintained its full-year 2026 EBITDA guidance of $390 million to $440 million and provided second-quarter EBITDA projections of $100 million to $110 million, investors reacted negatively to the substantial earnings decline in the first quarter.
