DiDi's Q2 Orders Up 13.2% Year-On-Year, International Operations Now Serve Over 100 Million Users

DiDi Global Inc. released its second-quarter financial report for 2026 on the evening of August 13, revealing that core platform orders rose 13.2% year-on-year to 5.052 billion, with daily orders averaging over 55 million during the period. China's mobility segment has now sustained growth for 14 consecutive quarters, while international operations continued the strong momentum from the previous quarter. Driven by this dual-engine model, the company's core platform gross transaction value (GTV) grew by 22.2% to 133.9 billion yuan.

DiDi founder and CEO Cheng Wei stated: "In the second quarter, our core business developed steadily, with service order volumes reaching new highs. Through continuous investment in safety, reliability, efficiency, and service capabilities, China's mobility business achieved sustainable growth. At the same time, international operations saw strong expansion, with enhanced ecological synergy. We are confident in our global development and will continue to strengthen localization efforts and fundamental skills, deepening multi-business collaboration. Looking ahead to the second half of the year, we will further reinforce driver support initiatives while maintaining active investment in AI and autonomous driving, working with global partners to deliver more of DiDi's excellent services to users."

In the second quarter of 2026, DiDi's China mobility business maintained a steady growth trajectory, with order volume increasing 8.1% year-on-year to 3.648 billion, and daily orders rising to 40.09 million. During the same period, GTV grew 9.5% year-on-year to 90.4 billion yuan. As user demand shifts from simply "getting a ride" to "getting the right ride and a good ride," DiDi's Light and Premium Express categories saw notable growth in the second quarter. Premium Express was launched in 24 cities, and after the upgraded service, complaint rates dropped by 46.32%, with user satisfaction reaching 98%, boosting Premium Express drivers' average weekly earnings by about 130 yuan. Alongside deepening service categories and building brand-level offerings, DiDi continues to enhance user experience through AI technology. The AI assistant, Xiao Di, has been continuously iterated and now features over 90 service tags, using a multi-agent architecture to transform personalized user needs into deterministic matches. Satisfaction in core scenarios has improved by nearly 10 percentage points, with expansion into more service areas such as designated driving and carpooling.

In the second quarter of 2026, DiDi intensified its investments in key markets like Brazil and Mexico. DiDi's international business GTV grew by 61% in the second quarter, with order volume rising 29% year-on-year to 1.403 billion, and daily orders exceeding 15 million. The international mobility business has remained profitable in the first half of this year. Currently, DiDi's international operations cover 14 countries and regions in Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa, serving a total user base exceeding 100 million. On the first anniversary of DiDi's food delivery service in Brazil (99 Food), it has expanded to over 100 Brazilian cities. Synergy among the ecosystem's food delivery, mobility, and digital banking services continues to strengthen, with 99's total user base in Brazil surpassing 60 million. At the end of July, 99's flash delivery service (99 Compras) entered São Paulo, Brazil's largest city, integrating multi-category instant delivery services including supermarkets and pharmacy stores, initially connecting over 3,000 merchants, including Carrefour. In Mexico, DiDi played a key role during the World Cup as a one-stop lifestyle platform, deeply engaging in the host country's mobility and local life services. During the tournament, DiDi provided over 100 million mobility service orders and more than 15.3 million food delivery orders in Mexico.
