A significant 500,000-ton green power aluminum capacity replacement and technological upgrade project has officially commenced in Qinghai Province.

According to an announcement, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 600kA green power aluminum project, owned by Qinghai Touqiao Aluminum & Power Co., Ltd., was held on June 10th at the project site.

The project will employ internationally advanced 600kA electrolytic cell technology to construct a "lighthouse" level intelligent and digital aluminum smelting plant.

Upon completion, the initiative is expected to be highly significant for advancing the transformation and upgrading of Qinghai's aluminum industry chain towards green power aluminum production.

It is also set to play a crucial demonstrative role in promoting the green and large-scale development of the electrolytic aluminum industry.

The project is being constructed by a consortium led by Northeast University Design & Research Institute (Co., Ltd.), in collaboration with Baye Construction Group, Shanxi Construction Engineering Group, and Shiyiye Construction Group.

This joint venture brings together top-tier design and construction expertise from the industry, establishing a comprehensive professional capability matrix covering the entire "design-procurement-construction" chain.
