Shares of Blackbaud Inc. (BLKB) plummeted by 13.79% on Wednesday after the cloud software company reported disappointing third-quarter results and slashed its full-year guidance.
For the three months ended September 30th, Blackbaud posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.99, missing analysts' expectations of $1.06-$1.07. The company's revenue of $286.7 million also fell short of the estimated $293 million.
Following the weaker-than-anticipated Q3 performance, Blackbaud lowered its earnings and revenue outlook for fiscal 2024. The company now expects full-year adjusted EPS in the range of $3.98 to $4.16, down from its previous guidance of $4.12 to $4.38. Meanwhile, Blackbaud's revenue forecast for the year was trimmed to $1.15 billion to $1.16 billion, compared to the previous range of $1.16 billion to $1.19 billion.
