Stock News02-04 08:38

Tianqi Lithium Corporation (09696) announced that on February 3, 2026, its board of directors reviewed and approved a proposal regarding the opportunistic disposal of some equity interests in its investee companies. The company intends to dispose of no more than 3.566 million A-shares of SQM, representing no more than 1.25% of SQM's total share capital. The sale will be conducted in a manner that does not trigger a requirement for shareholder approval under the applicable listing rules of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Since December 26, 2025, the company has already disposed of 748,500 B-shares of SQM held through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tianqi Lithium Hong Kong, representing 0.29% of SQM's total shares.

As of the date of this announcement, the company holds 62.5566 million A-shares of SQM through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Inversiones TLC SpA (Tianqi Chile), accounting for 21.90% of SQM's total share capital; the company no longer holds any B-shares of SQM.

This planned disposal of part of its stake in the investee company is intended to further optimize the company's existing assets, enhance the flexibility of its asset structure, and improve overall asset liquidity and capital utilization efficiency. This move is expected to provide more room for the company's subsequent operational development and resource allocation, having a positive impact on its financial position and stable operations.
