Muyuan Foods Posts May Hog Sales Growth but Revenue Hit by 32.51% Price Decline

Bulletin Express06-05

Muyuan Foods reported that it sold 6.88 million finished hogs in May 2026, a year-on-year increase of 7.43%. However, the average selling price fell 32.51% to RMB 9.80 per kilogram, driving monthly revenue down 30.13% to RMB 8.57 billion.

For the first five months of 2026, cumulative sales reached 32.39 million heads, generating RMB 42.65 billion in revenue. Average selling prices have trended lower throughout the year, from RMB 12.57 per kilogram in January to RMB 9.80 per kilogram in May.

Subsidiary Muyuan Meat Co., Ltd. and its units slaughtered 3.01 million hogs during the month, underscoring the group’s integrated production capacity.

Management cautioned that hog-price volatility and animal-disease risks remain systemic challenges that could materially affect operating results. The disclosed figures are unaudited and subject to confirmation in forthcoming periodic reports.
