GE HealthCare has announced the expansion of its LOGIQ e ultrasound platform with the introduction of a new family of products. This family includes the LOGIQ e Xi and LOGIQ e Si, two compact laptop-style ultrasound systems designed to help clinicians achieve simple, fast, and confident imaging across various care settings.

The new LOGIQ e family builds on the classic legacy of the LOGIQ e platform, combining reliable cart-level performance with a compact and intuitive design. It integrates artificial intelligence-driven workflow tools to offer greater portability and flexibility for care beyond traditional imaging departments.

Karley Yoder, CEO of Ultrasound Solutions at GE HealthCare, stated: "Healthcare delivery models are rapidly changing, and imaging technology must evolve with them. Today's clinicians need imaging solutions that can move seamlessly between different care settings while supporting diverse users and clinical applications."

The family supports a wide range of clinical applications, including general-purpose imaging, musculoskeletal, emergency medicine, critical care, rheumatology, and anesthesiology. The LOGIQ e Xi serves as the premium model, equipped with AI tools, advanced imaging capabilities, and workflow-enhancing features. In contrast, the LOGIQ e Si offers a more cost-effective option, providing core imaging capabilities in an intuitive and reliable system, giving clinicians more choices.

To help clinicians maintain efficiency in busy environments, the LOGIQ e family introduces tools such as Scan Assistant and voice control, aimed at reducing manual operations and boosting productivity. Additionally, the LOGIQ e Xi features the AI-driven Nerveblox tool, which automatically identifies anatomical structures in ultrasound images, enhancing clinician confidence during peripheral nerve block procedures. It also includes the MSK Go tool to assist clinicians in identifying anatomical structures during musculoskeletal ultrasound exams.

The ultrasound system provides imaging enhancement tools like B-Flow blood flow imaging and speckle reduction imaging, along with automated cardiac function imaging and obstetric measurements. Furthermore, Verisound digital tools, including the cloud-based fleet management solution Verisound Fleet and the collaboration tool Verisound Collab, are available for customers in specific configurations and regions, further improving device management and remote collaboration.

The new LOGIQ e ultrasound systems have received FDA 510(k) clearance and CE marking, and are now available in other markets where regulatory approvals have been obtained. This expansion enriches GE HealthCare's ultrasound portfolio, complementing previously launched products such as the next-generation LOGIQ E10 series, LOGIQ Fortis, and LOGIQ Totus, forming a more complete product matrix for mid-to-high-end whole-body ultrasound systems.
