Beauty conglomerate Coty Inc. has announced a series of organizational changes effective July 2nd, aimed at advancing its 'Coty.Curated' strategy. The restructuring is designed to strengthen the market performance of its core businesses by simplifying its operational model and accelerating decision-making processes.
Core Leadership Restructuring
At the heart of these changes, Executive Chairman and Interim CEO Markus Strobel will assume direct oversight of the commercial operations for the prestige beauty business. Regional leaders will now report directly to him. This move is intended to bring leadership closer to the market, enhancing accountability for end-market sales and market share. Concurrently, Coty will consolidate the research & development, sustainability, and supply chain functions within its prestige beauty division into a single unit, to be led on an interim basis by Chief Supply Chain Officer Graeme Carter. Gordon von Bretten, President of Consumer Beauty, will continue to drive the already integrated operational model within that division.
Executive Departures Announced
The reorganization has also triggered a series of executive departures. Caroline Andreotti, Chief Commercial Officer for Prestige at Coty, will leave the company at the end of September after nearly two decades of service. Dr. Shimei Fan, Chief Science & Sustainability Officer, will step down at the end of August. Chief People & Purpose Officer Priya Srinivasan will also depart in August for personal reasons. Her role will be filled by Séverine Charbon, who is joining from Publicis Groupe on September 1st.
Strategic Focus Amid Financial Pressures
Coty has faced performance pressures in recent periods, reporting a net loss of $411.4 million for its third fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2026, with its Consumer Beauty business declining for three consecutive quarters. Strobel emphasized that the core of the 'Coty.Curated' strategy is clarity and focus, stating that a more streamlined operational model will help the company provide consistent support for its core brands.
