On the news front, the company announced via its official WeChat account that it has teamed up with autonomous mobility service provider Verne to formally commence fully driverless Robotaxi passenger testing on public roads in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. This marks the first such breakthrough in Europe and signifies that PONY-W has achieved tangible progress in its fully unmanned commercial expansion overseas.
This milestone further accelerates the company's "dual-engine" growth strategy, which focuses on scaling Robotaxi operations across both the domestic Chinese market and international markets simultaneously. Riding on a string of recent partnerships, PONY-W has expanded its overseas deployment plan to cover more than 4,000 Robotaxis, including a specific initiative with Uber to deploy over 2,000 vehicles across Europe.
According to the company's roadmap, PONY-W aims to expand its global fleet to more than 3,500 Robotaxis by the end of 2026, with operations spanning over 20 cities worldwide, as it continues to drive the large-scale commercial adoption of autonomous driving technology on a global basis.
