(hereinafter referred to as "Daye Trust") has once again filled a core senior management position. Recently, the Guangdong Financial Regulatory Bureau approved the qualification of Wang Xin to serve as a director and deputy general manager of Daye Trust. Wang Xin previously served as the board secretary of Daye Trust for a long time and has a background in the shareholder system. At present, both core positions of general manager and deputy general manager at Daye Trust are held by "post-80s" managers. During this critical window for transformation, the successive appointments of senior executives will bring variables to internal governance. Daye Trust opened for business in 2011 with registered capital of 2 billion yuan and is registered in Guangzhou. The company operates a dual-headquarters management structure in Guangzhou and Beijing, and has branch offices in Shanghai, Wuhan, Hangzhou, and Fuzhou. The company has three shareholders: China Orient Asset Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Orient"), Guangzhou Financial Holdings Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou Financial Holdings"), and Guangdong Jingxin Electric Power Group Co., Ltd., holding 41.67%, 38.33%, and 20% stakes respectively.
The newly appointed Deputy General Manager Wang Xin comes from the system of the second-largest shareholder, Guangzhou Financial Holdings Group. Before taking the new post, Wang Xin served as board secretary of Daye Trust for nearly ten years. He also previously held positions including supervisor of the property rights management department at Guangzhou Youlin Investment Management Co., Ltd., and business coordinator and assistant to the general manager in the human resources department of Guangzhou Financial Holdings Group Co., Ltd.
Half a year ago, Daye Trust had just undergone a general manager adjustment, with Huang Jun taking office. Huang Jun was also promoted internally. He previously served as director and assistant manager of the market development department at the Guangzhou office of China Orient Asset Management Co., as general manager of the investment management department at Daye Trust Co., Ltd., as senior manager of the Jiangmen regional business department at the Guangzhou office of China Orient Asset Management Co., as assistant general manager of the Shenzhen branch and assistant to the general manager of the Guangdong provincial branch of China Orient Asset Management Co., Ltd., and as a member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Daye Trust Co., Ltd.
In addition, according to a June approval by the Guangdong Financial Regulatory Bureau, Jiang Bo's qualification as chief financial officer of Daye Trust was approved. Previously, that position was held by Huang Zhikun. Shuai Guorang, a researcher at the Use Trust Research Institute, said in an interview with Blue Whale News that the concentrated adjustment of senior management at Daye Trust reflects governance balance between the two major shareholders. General Manager Huang Jun comes from the system of the largest shareholder China Orient, while the newly promoted Deputy General Manager Wang Xin has a background with the second-largest shareholder Guangzhou Financial Holdings. The personnel arrangement takes into account shareholder demands and helps strengthen shareholder coordination and stabilize internal governance.
"However, under a dual-shareholder checks-and-balances structure, attention must be paid to strategic direction, risk disposal, and coordination of business resources. Future operating results will depend on whether the new team can unify its business approach and promote trust business transformation and resolution of existing risks," Shuai Guorang pointed out.
In terms of performance, Daye Trust showed a "revenue growth without profit growth" pattern last year. According to the reporter's review, from 2023 to 2025, Daye Trust achieved total operating revenue of 295 million yuan, 357 million yuan, and 381 million yuan respectively, while net profit in the same periods was 36 million yuan, 54 million yuan, and 32 million yuan respectively. By rough calculation, net profit in 2025 fell 41.61% year-on-year. On the business side, the company's trust business generated revenue of 338 million yuan in 2025. As of the end of 2025, the scale of trust products established by the company was 221.723 billion yuan, and the balance of surviving trust assets was 222.058 billion yuan.
Daye Trust stated externally that since 2026, the company has focused on two main directions: standardized-product capital market business and risk disposal service trusts. It has established investment advisory cooperation with a number of securities firms; relying on shareholder AMC resources, the business scale of risk disposal service trusts in the first half of the year exceeded that of the entire previous year.
However, behind business expansion, the company still has shortcomings at the compliance level. In March, the Guangdong Financial Regulatory Bureau published an administrative penalty decision showing that Daye Trust had multiple problems, including: seriously imprudent approval of proprietary funds taking over shares of related-party trust plans, and failure to fulfill related-party transaction reporting; illegally issuing trust loans to projects that did not meet regulatory requirements; insufficient due diligence that seriously violated prudent operation rules; lack of post-investment management, with trust loan funds flowing back; and illegal public promotion of collective fund trust plans. As a result, the company was fined 1.8 million yuan; Wang Yi, Wang Chonghai, Wu Zhiqun, and Liu Zhiqiang were given warnings and fined a total of 100,000 yuan. At the 2026 mid-year Party building and business management work meeting held in July this year, Daye Trust positioned this year as a "critical year for transformation and development." The meeting stated that in the first half of the year, the company adhered to returning to the essence of trust, vigorously expanded asset service trusts and standardized-product business, and achieved phased results in the two major areas of risk disposal service trusts and wealth management service trusts, with the business structure gradually optimized. At present, the company is in a critical window for transformation and development, and must comply with laws and regulations and resolutely avoid touching the red line of business compliance.
Shuai Guorang believes that the core test facing the new management team is to coordinate the demands of all shareholders, efficiently dispose of existing non-performing assets, and reduce risks; at the same time, it must implement business transformation, strengthen risk disposal service trusts and standardized-product business, and find a balance between business expansion and compliance risk control, testing whether shareholder coordination can truly translate into operating effectiveness.
