Transthera-B (02617) has announced that its independently developed Class 1 new drug Jieentai® (tengogtinib tablets) has received conditional marketing approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for the treatment of adult patients with advanced, metastatic, or unresectable cholangiocarcinoma who have previously received systemic therapy and FGFR inhibitor treatment and who harbor fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) 2 fusion or rearrangement.
In September 2026, the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Biliary Tract Malignancies were officially released, and Jieentai® was included as a Class II recommendation, Category 2A, for the treatment of advanced biliary tract malignancies.
Jieentai® is the first approved treatment drug in China for this indication, and is expected to benefit patients with FGFR-mutant cholangiocarcinoma after drug resistance, filling a guideline gap in the treatment of advanced biliary tract malignancies.
On September 9, 2026, the first batch of Jieentai® products completed production and successfully left the factory.
On September 17, 2026, the first batch of Jieentai® products was officially shipped from commercial channels, sent to pharmacies across the country, and nationwide commercial supply was officially launched; on the same day, Jieentai® issued the country's first prescription at Peking University Cancer Hospital, marking Jieentai®'s official entry into the commercial sales stage in China.
Recently, Jieentai® has issued its first clinical prescriptions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, and other provinces, and DTP pharmacies in many parts of the country have completed stocking in sync.
In the future, Jieentai® will rely on the strong terminal distribution capabilities and mature warehousing and logistics network of Sinopharm Holdings Jiangsu Co., Ltd. (Guokong Jiangsu) to further expand sales in multiple retail pharmacies across 21 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions nationwide, fully establishing a nationwide commercial supply system.
