Deep News12-16

From January to November this year, Guangdong Province exported 6.573 million tons of agricultural products, marking a 13.6% year-on-year increase, with shipments reaching 214 countries and regions globally. Guangdong leads the nation in supplying agricultural products to Hong Kong and Macao, delivering 2.58 million tons in the same period, accounting for 67.4% of China's total.

Meizhou pomelo stands out as a signature product of Guangdong's agricultural sector. In 2025, Shenzhen Agricultural Power Group Co., Ltd. exported 1,405 tons of pomelos, valued at over $1.85 million, achieving steady growth. A company representative noted that customs authorities provided comprehensive guidance from cultivation to packaging, enhancing product quality and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Guangdong Customs has been refining services and integrating deeply into the agricultural supply chain, helping transform local specialties into large-scale industries. In Taishan, known as "China's Eel Capital," customs support has empowered leading enterprises to strengthen branding and deep processing. Currently, "Taishan Eel" accounts for over 60% of China's total eel exports.

Guangdong Yuanhong Aquatic Group Co., Ltd. highlighted that Jiangmen Customs assisted in aligning its operations with target market standards, facilitating global expansion. Over the past two years, the company added six certified eel farms and gained customs registration approvals, enabling entry into multiple new markets.
