Shares of OOIL (00316) have risen more than 5%. At the time of writing, the stock is up 5.05% to HK$137.3, with a turnover of HK$1.4 billion.
The move follows the company's release of unaudited operational highlights for its container shipping arm for the second quarter ending June 30, 2026. The report shows that for Q2 2026, route revenue increased by 19.8% year-on-year to US$2.537 billion. Total cargo volume increased by 8.8%, while vessel capacity rose by 6.3%. The overall load factor improved by 1.9 percentage points compared to the same period in 2025, and the average revenue per TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) increased by 10.1% compared to the second quarter of the previous year.
For the first six months ending June 30, 2026, both route revenue and total cargo volume saw year-on-year growth, increasing by 5.5% and 5.2% respectively. Vessel capacity rose by 5.3%. The overall load factor saw a marginal decline of 0.1 percentage points compared to the first half of 2025, while the average revenue per TEU increased by 0.2% year-on-year.
