Firmus Grid Ltd. is considering raising as much as $3 billion through private financing after the NVIDIA-backed data center company shelved plans for an IPO, according to people familiar with the matter.
Firmus and its advisers are in discussions with existing investors to raise $2 billion to $3 billion in a private funding round, the people said.
The structure of the financing has yet to be finalized and could combine equity and debt, the people said. They did not say whether NVIDIA would take part.
Talks are ongoing and no final decisions have been made, and details such as the final size of the fundraising could still change, the people said. A representative for Firmus declined to comment.
