Beijing to Welcome Second MixC Mall in Fengtai District's Lize Area

Deep News10:20

Beijing is set to see the opening of its second MixC shopping center, which will be located near the city's Second Ring Road in the Lize area of Fengtai District, with a total area of 200,000 square meters.

During a recent project promotion and initial signing ceremony for the Lize International Financial City, it was announced that several high-end commercial facilities, including the 200,000-square-meter China Resources Lize MixC, will be developed along the Second Ring Road.

According to the comprehensive project plan released by Lize Holding Group, the first phase involving plots 62, 63, and 65 has been successfully transacted. This phase will provide over 400,000 square meters of premium industrial space, encompassing 160,000 square meters for commercial offices, 60,000 square meters for apartment hotels, and the 200,000-square-meter China Resources Lize MixC commercial complex. This development is expected to effectively address the area's shortage of high-end commercial amenities.

Situated in the core northern section of the Lize Financial Business District, the Lize International Financial City is a major urban integrated flagship project. It covers a land area of approximately 12.5 hectares, with an above-ground construction scale of 930,000 square meters. The project will concentrate on four core sectors: digital finance, corporate headquarters, technology innovation and R&D, and high-end commerce, aiming to create a multi-dimensional and intelligent urban space for the future.

A representative from China Resources Land stated that the commercial complex is projected to commence construction next year and be delivered for use by 2030. They plan to leverage the site's "five-line hub + city terminal" super Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) attributes to establish the most upscale and vibrant shopping center in southwestern Beijing, significantly enhancing the commercial capacity and international consumption influence of the capital's southwestern region.

The Lize International Financial City benefits from an integrated transport network featuring "five rail lines converging and three stations interlinked." The under-construction Lize City Terminal serves as a five-line interchange hub for air-rail integration and is expected to meet initial operational conditions in the first half of 2027. Utilizing this hub, the Lize area will be efficiently connected to the capital's core functional zone and the global transportation network, positioning itself as Beijing's new gateway to the world.

An official from the Fengtai District Planning and Natural Resources Bureau explained that, as the last large-scale concentrated development area between Beijing's Second and Third Ring Roads, the northern Lize zone is planned to primarily host international financial institutions, digital finance headquarters, and high-end professional service providers. It will be complemented by the development of international commercial streets, cultural and leisure facilities, and talent apartments, aiming to create a dynamic center characterized by "station-city integration and industry-city fusion."

Some users on social media platforms have commented, expressing hopes for the inclusion of a Hermes International SA store and noting that "Fengtai finally gets high-end commerce." Others have shared memes indicating, "Just four more years to wait."
