On the afternoon of March 10, at the 2026 Midea Whole-House Smart Strategy Launch Event, Xu Yi, Director of the Midea Group AI Research Institute, introduced MevoX, a home AI system with strong cognitive capabilities, marking the beginning of a new era in smart home technology.
According to Xu Yi, MevoX possesses six core abilities: sensing, reasoning, execution, memory, optimization, and connectivity. Among these, reasoning and cognitive capabilities are the most distinctive features that set MevoX apart from previous smart home systems. Leveraging its reasoning and memory functions, Midea's smart home appliances can remember user instructions—such as setting the bedroom air conditioner to 26 degrees Celsius for cooling, with minimal airflow and lights turned off during sleep—and proactively execute these commands when the user resumes similar scenarios, reducing the need for repeated instructions.
It is reported that MevoX is built on the foundation of Meiyan Large Model 3.0, with the underlying interaction data volume surpassing 20 billion records.
