Alco Holdings Secures Brazilian and Chilean Distribution Deals to Accelerate South American Expansion

Bulletin Express10-13

Alco Holdings Limited announced the signing of long-term cooperation agreements on 13 October 2026 with two distributors based in Brazil and Chile, marking the company’s first direct entry into the South American notebook and tablet markets. The partnerships will provide local distribution channels, logistics coordination, regulatory compliance support and customer service, directly aligning with Alco’s strategy of promoting its own-brand computers outside its traditional bases.

The consumer-electronics manufacturer, whose core business centres on self-branded notebook and tablet computers, has already been expanding in the Asia-Pacific region—most notably Malaysia and Indonesia. Management believes experience gained there will inform the South American rollout, helping to diversify geographic revenue streams amid persistent industry competition and input-cost volatility.

While the agreements are expected to open new revenue avenues, the Board cautioned that financial contributions will depend on market demand, distributor performance and execution efficiency; no quantitative sales projections were disclosed.

Funding for overseas expansion is being supported by capital raised in recent rights issues. Proceeds of HK$121.80 million from the July 2026 rights issue are earmarked for debt repayment, supplier settlements, Asia-Pacific market development, product design and general working capital. Funds from the November 2025 rights issue have already been fully utilised for loan and creditor repayments.

The Board signalled that additional capital raisings—either debt or equity—remain under consideration, subject to operational needs, market conditions and regulatory approvals. No binding agreements have been entered into at this stage.

Forward-looking statements in the announcement highlight that actual outcomes may diverge from expectations due to factors such as economic conditions, exchange-rate movements, competitive dynamics and the pace of implementation in Brazil and Chile. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to monitor subsequent disclosures for further updates.
