Deep News07-31

CKH HOLDINGS announced on Thursday (July 30) that its wholly-owned subsidiary, CK Hutchison Group Telecom (CKHGT), has completed the sale of its 49% stake in the UK telecom business VodafoneThree, receiving £4.3 billion (approximately HK$45.47 billion) in cash upon the cancellation of its equity interest.

VodafoneThree, formed through the merger of Vodafone UK and Three UK in 2025, now stands as the largest mobile telecommunications operator in Britain. CKH HOLDINGS stated it has been a long-term investor in the UK and Europe, actively participating in the development of the region's telecom infrastructure for over three decades.

Canning Fok, Deputy Chairman of CKH HOLDINGS and Executive Chairman of CKHGT, noted that this transaction allows the group to monetize its investment in VodafoneThree, delivering tangible returns for the company and its shareholders. He added that the deal further strengthens the group's financial foundation, paving the way for more development opportunities in the future.
