September 19, U.S. stocks closed mixed as traders digested chip-sector strength against lingering rate worries. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.19%, the S&P 500 added 0.16%, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.39% as tech outperformed while defensive pockets lagged.

Chip names led gainers after upbeat demand commentary. SanDisk (SNDK) jumped 10.99%, Micron (MU) climbed 3.92%, and Nvidia (NVDA) added 1.34%. Leveraged ETF SOXL surged 7.71% while bearish SOXS fell 7.78%. Coinbase (COIN) rallied 11.66% on a bitcoin rebound, Broadcom (AVGO) rose 2.97%, and AMD (AMD) advanced 2.70%. On the downside, Netflix (NFLX) fell 4.67%, Meta (META) lost 2.43%, and Rocket Lab (RKLB) slid 4.79%.

Additional movers were equally active across sectors and ADRs. MicroStrategy (MSTR) soared 16.39% alongside crypto strength; Silicon Motion (SIMO) gained 7.43% after takeover chatter. China ADR VNET (VNET) rose 7.06%, while Datasea (DTSS) tumbled 27.69% and Antelope Enterprise (AEHL) plunged 31.57% on dilution fears.
