Mengniu Dairy Executes Further HKD 3.53 Million Buyback; Cumulative Repurchases Reach 4.23 Million Shares

China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited (Mengniu Dairy) has filed a Next Day Disclosure Return with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange detailing an on-market share repurchase and an updated share capital position as of 22 September 2026.

Mengniu Dairy’s issued share capital remains unchanged at 3.87 billion ordinary shares, with no treasury shares outstanding. No new shares were issued during the period under review.

On 22 September 2026 the company repurchased 0.20 million shares on the Exchange at prices ranging from HKD 17.60 to HKD 17.70, for a total consideration of HKD 3.53 million. These shares are intended for cancellation, triggering a 30-day moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share sales that expires on 22 October 2026.

Including the latest transaction, Mengniu Dairy has bought back 4.23 million shares under the repurchase mandate granted on 5 June 2026, representing 0.11 % of the company’s issued shares on the mandate date. The mandate allows repurchases of up to 387.89 million shares.

Between 31 August and 22 September 2026 the company repurchased an additional 1.29 million shares pending cancellation at a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 17.87 per share. Individual repurchase prices for these trades ranged from HKD 17.63 to HKD 17.98.

As of the close on 22 September 2026, the total number of issued shares remains at 3.87 billion; the repurchased shares will only be removed from the share capital upon formal cancellation.
