On 29 April 2026, Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. (MCC) released its first-quarter 2026 operating data. Newly-signed contracts came in at RMB206.10 billion, a 10.6% year-on-year decline, while overseas contracts rose 9.6% to RMB13.19 billion.
Segment performance showed mixed trends:
• Core business orders increased 19.3% to RMB49.67 billion. Within this, ferrous metallurgy contracts surged 36.7% to RMB28.07 billion, non-ferrous metallurgy climbed 11.7% to RMB8.33 billion, and mining slipped 2.9% to RMB13.27 billion.
• Principal business orders fell 16.1% to RMB129.02 billion. Industrial construction edged up 4.4% to RMB26.72 billion, but capital construction dropped 20.3% to RMB102.30 billion.
• Featured business revenue declined 26.0% to RMB22.84 billion, while the “Others” category grew 6.6% to RMB4.58 billion.
The company reported no stalled major projects as of 31 March 2026.
