Inner Mongolia Revises and Releases Three Local Standards for Tourism Industry

Deep News10-20

On October 20, it was learned from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism that Inner Mongolia has recently revised and released three local standards for the tourism industry. They are the "Service Specifications for Horse Riding (Camel Riding) Tourism Products," the "Operating Service Specifications for Pastoral Family Entertainment Tourism," and the "General Rules for Reception Service Specifications for Mongolian Cuisine Business Projects." The new standards will replace the same-named standards from the 2016 version.

It is understood that these three local cultural and tourism standards were initiated by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism and led for revision by the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Dongsheng District, Ordos City. They focus on three major cultural and tourism business formats with Inner Mongolian characteristics—horse and camel riding, pastoral family entertainment, and Mongolian cuisine—with the aim of addressing shortcomings in industry services.

Among them, the "Service Specifications for Horse Riding (Camel Riding) Tourism Products" focuses on key links such as safety management and control, venue maintenance, and route design, building a solid safety defense line for grassland tourism. The "Operating Service Specifications for Pastoral Family Entertainment Tourism" clarifies requirements for facilities, services, environmental protection, and safety, guiding operating entities to deeply explore ethnic characteristic culture and promoting the industry's shift from scale expansion to quality upgrading. The "General Rules for Reception Service Specifications for Mongolian Cuisine Business Projects" unifies reception procedures, ethnic etiquette, dish services, and other specifications, integrating catering services with the dissemination of ethnic culture.

It is understood that the Inner Mongolia Department of Culture and Tourism recently carried out specialized training to promote the implementation of the standards. At the same time, it urged operating entities to rectify in accordance with the standards and operate in a standardized manner, leading the high-quality development of Inner Mongolia's cultural and tourism industry through standardization.
