SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently criticized Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian, warning that the latter could lose his job for refusing to adopt the Starlink service.
On Tuesday local time, a user posted on the X platform sharing what was allegedly Bastian's remarks at a company event. According to the report, Bastian said at the time: "We don't want to work with Elon Musk. Trust me." The user also noted that Delta Air Lines had previously tested Starlink and referenced Bastian's comments at an earlier event. Bastian said at the time: "If you know his (Musk's) reputation, all those rumors about him out there are true."
In response to the remarks, Musk expressed his views while replying to another user on the X platform, warning: "He will lose his job over this." Musk later also posted a sarcastic remark: "The best way to quarantine AI is to put it on a Delta flight — it will have absolutely no chance of accessing the internet!"
Musk had previously warned that Delta Air Lines would lose customers if it did not offer Starlink service on its flights; by contrast, competitors such as United Airlines and Alaska Airlines have all provided Starlink service.
