This Qixi Festival, instead of "eating dog food" on your social media feeds, why not head to a Qiang village to meet your "destined one"?
On August 12, it was learned from the Chengdu E-commerce Industry Trade Union Federation that the "Cheng Gong Zhi Lian" brand series event, titled "Gathering in E-commerce, Meeting in Qiang Village," will launch romantically on August 18 at the Qiang village in Zhitai Village, Nanzhenshan Town, Qionglai City. This event is a 2026 youth employee social activity for the Chengdu e-commerce industry.
The event is guided by the Chengdu Federation of Trade Unions, hosted by the Chengdu Finance, Trade, Light Textile, and Service Trade Union and the Qionglai City Federation of Trade Unions, and co-organized by the Chengdu E-commerce Industry Trade Union Federation and Nanzhenshan Town. Registrations are now open for single young employees in the city's e-commerce industry, with about 100 slots available, split equally between men and women, on a first-come, first-served basis.
An Extraordinary Qixi: Finding Love in a Qiang Village
This is not your typical social event. The organizers have deeply integrated the traditional Qixi Festival with the unique ethnic culture of the Qiang people in Nanzhenshan Town, creating a romantic journey that combines "social networking with ethnic cultural experience" for single young employees in the e-commerce industry.
What can attendees expect on the event day? The highest Qiang welcoming ceremony. Upon arriving at the village entrance, Qiang community members will present each guest with a red Qiang red scarf. Draped in this scarf, the Qiang village adventure begins.
In-depth social activities will progress layer by layer. From ice-breaking with simple sketches, and an e-commerce version of "Charades," to crafting Qiang embroidery "heart lock" accessories, a "Truth or Dare" blind box, and a "Unity is Strength" team competition, multiple interactive segments will guide participants from strangers to acquaintances, transitioning from awkwardness to relaxed conversation.
A Qiang village dinner and talent show. Guests will enjoy distinctive Qiang cuisine and watch Qiang song and dance performances. Activities like "Pass the Parcel," "Love Song Chain," and talent showcases will bring everyone closer in a joyful atmosphere.
Blueberry picking experience. Participants will visit the Nanzhenshan Town blueberry planting base, engage in group picking, and interactive competitions, deepening their understanding of each other in a relaxed, natural setting. The event also features a "Heart Match" selection round and a points reward system. Couples who successfully pair up will receive a "First Sight Love Award," while the group with the highest points will earn a team reward.
