WANGUO GOLD GP Surges Over 10% in Morning Session, Cumulative Monthly Gain Exceeds 40%

Deep News07-22

WANGUO GOLD GP (ASX: 03939) saw its shares surge more than 10% during the morning trading session, bringing its cumulative increase for the month to over 40%. At the time of writing, the stock was up 10.19%, trading at HK$11.14 with a turnover of HK$397 million.

The international gold price has continued to climb after stabilizing above the $4,000 per ounce mark. On July 22nd, the price broke through $4,100 per ounce. Analysis suggests the peak of inflation has passed, and with June's non-farm payroll data coming in below expectations, expectations for further interest rate hikes have begun to ease. Concurrently, central bank gold purchases have resumed a clear upward trend, with physical demand providing a solid floor for gold prices.

Analysts point out that the resource base, reserves, and expansion pathway for WANGUO GOLD GP's Jinling Gold Mine are clear. The primary sources of value upside are seen along two main lines. First, a significant increase in resources and reserves supports longer-term production planning and valuation reassessment. Second, a multi-million-ton expansion plan raises the processing capacity ceiling, with the progress of subsequent feasibility studies, construction plans, and the pace of expansion implementation expected to serve as key catalysts. Technical processing services for the project are being provided by a related party of Zijin Mining, with Zijin Engineering undertaking the expansion feasibility study and design, demonstrating synergistic Chinese mining engineering capabilities within the project. Future focus will be on tracking the advancement of the expansion plan, capital expenditure arrangements, and the pace of production ramp-up.
