China Longyuan Power Completes 2024 Carbon Audit for Group

Deep News10-20

China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited's carbon asset company has successfully assisted in completing the carbon emission summary analysis report for the group's four major sectors: thermal power, chemicals, coal, and transportation, marking a successful conclusion to the 2024 carbon audit. The company has independently developed a digital carbon audit control system, which has been stably implemented for two years in the power generation sector included in the national carbon trading market. This system ensures the quality of carbon emission data, and the effectiveness of technological empowerment is continuously demonstrated, with audit-related issues reduced by 42% year-on-year.

By relying on the step-by-step standardized operation process of the control system and employing key technological measures such as stringent data traceability verification, precise accounting of generator output, and scientific aggregation of incremental heat supply, the group has achieved a reasonable reduction of 101,400 tons in emissions, an increase of 848,500 tons in quotas, and a total carbon reduction of 949,900 tons.

Looking ahead, China Longyuan Power will continue to optimize the existing digital carbon business system and deepen the integration of advanced technologies with carbon emission auditing operations, vigorously promoting the upgrade from "human prevention" to "technical prevention" management. By continuously enhancing the level of technical services, the company aims to solidify the data foundation necessary for achieving the group's dual carbon targets.
