Fake Tide Detergent Purchased on WeChat Mini Store Fails to Lather

Deep News12-18

Recently, a consumer reported via the Black Cat Complaints platform that they purchased a pack of Tide detergent from a WeChat Mini Store, only to discover it was counterfeit when the product failed to produce foam during use. Attempting to return the item, they found no 7-day no-questions-asked return policy and were forced to cover shipping costs themselves. Multiple buyers in the product review section also complained about receiving fake detergent that didn’t lather.

The consumer repeatedly complained to WeChat, demanding penalties against the merchant, but only received a vague response about "continued monitoring" of the product. On the Black Cat Complaints platform, many users have faced difficulties in protecting their rights due to WeChat’s failure to enforce proper merchant oversight. As of now, WeChat has accumulated nearly 23,000 complaints on the platform, with a response rate of just 5.13%.
