SOFTMEDX-NEW Records Share Deposit Valued at HK$35.38 Million, Representing 5.41% Stake

According to the latest information from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, a notable shareholding change occurred for SOFTMEDX-NEW (00648) on June 29.

The total value of shares deposited into a custody account was HK$35.38 million, representing a 5.41% stake in the company.

A shareholder of the company deposited 5.354 million shares with UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong), resulting in a corresponding 5% increase in the shareholding ratio.

Previously, SOFTMEDX-NEW announced that its controlling shareholder, Multi Omniverse Group Limited, intended to place up to 445 million company shares.

On May 15, 2026, the company was notified by the placing shareholder that the entire 445 million shares, representing 20.8% of the issued share capital as of the announcement date, had been placed by the placing agent with no fewer than six placees at a placing price of HK$0.11 per share.

To the best of the directors' knowledge, information, and belief after making all reasonable enquiries, each placee and its ultimate beneficial owner (if any) are third parties independent of the company and its connected persons, and have no connection or concert party relationship with the company or any of its connected persons.

Furthermore, upon completion of the placing, no placee became a substantial shareholder of the company.

Following the completion of the placing, the placing shareholder's interest in the company decreased from 51.0% to 30.3%, and it remains the controlling shareholder of the company.
