Provincial authorities recently announced the first batch of 100 key "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" application scenarios and 100 key vertical domain large models for promotion in Shandong Province. A total of seven application scenarios and one large model from Zibo City were included, marking a substantial step forward in the deep integration of AI with the manufacturing sector in the city.
According to reports, the seven selected application scenarios from Zibo include those from Shandong Qifu New Materials Co., Ltd., featuring "AI-driven intelligent production patrols," and Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., with its "AI intelligent data inquiry" system. These scenarios are closely aligned with the city's strengths in the chemical industry, directly addressing core challenges such as long research and development cycles, difficult safety controls, and imprecise energy consumption management. They collectively showcase Zibo's pioneering efforts in the deep fusion of AI and its advantageous industries.
Among these, the "AI-driven intelligent production patrols" scenario developed by Shandong Qifu New Materials Co., Ltd. is particularly representative. Facing real-world challenges in tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene production—including risks of media self-polymerization and explosion, the presence of highly toxic byproduct gases, blind spots in inspection for 12-story elevated pipelines, and the need for high-frequency patrols every two hours—this scenario plans to build a comprehensive intelligent patrol system using "overhead tracks and floor-level robots." AI-based standardized inspections would replace subjective human judgment, and intelligent agents would enable early leak warnings. After implementation, the project is expected to gradually replace 36 high-risk positions, transforming the company's safety management from human-dependent prevention to a combination of technical and intelligent prevention.
Meanwhile, the "AI intelligent data inquiry" scenario at Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. addresses difficulties caused by fragmented data across the company's financial, production, and operational systems, complicated query processes, and high barriers to data analysis. By integrating AI large models and natural language processing technology, this application enables intelligent data inquiries. It is expected to support data queries through text and spoken language, automatically aggregate data, perform comparative summaries, and analyze trends. This will effectively lower the barrier to data usage, improve data response efficiency, and fully leverage the company's vast stock of existing data resources.
Additionally, Zibo's independently developed "Zhiyang Electric Language Large Model" was successfully selected for the province's list of key vertical domain large models for promotion. This model is tailored to the maintenance and patrol needs of the electric power industry. It can understand specialized terminology and knowledge systems within the power sector, providing services such as power knowledge consultation and equipment fault diagnosis. This supports the digital operation and maintenance of power grids and sets a benchmark for the intelligent transformation of enterprises across the city.
Looking ahead, Zibo City will promote the comprehensive adoption and effective implementation of the first batch of selected benchmark scenarios, using real-world applications to empower industries for improved efficiency and quality. The city will also guide enterprises to optimize the performance of vertical domain large models, lowering the barrier for enterprises to adopt intelligent applications. Furthermore, it will continue to deepen the integration of AI with manufacturing, enhancing both depth and quality, to inject robust intelligent momentum into the city's high-quality development of new-style industrialization.
