Dajin Heavy Industry Secures Order for Two New-Generation Heavy-Lift Vessels from Jumbo, Totaling Approximately $156 Million

Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. has entered into a contract with Dutch shipowner Jumbo Maritime through its subsidiary Tangshan Dajin Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. for the construction of two new-generation multi-purpose heavy-lift vessels.

The contract, valued at approximately $156 million, covers the design, construction, and delivery of two vessels, each with a deadweight tonnage of 25,000 tons. The vessels are scheduled for phased delivery in 2028 and 2029.

Each vessel measures about 163 meters in length, 30 meters in width, and 16 meters in depth.

The ships will be equipped with two heavy cranes, each with a rated lifting capacity of 1,200 tons, enabling a combined lifting capacity of up to 2,400 tons.

According to Dajin Heavy Industry, these vessels are intended for the transportation of heavy equipment for offshore wind power, offshore oil and gas modules, deep-water marine engineering construction, and the transport of major industrial cargoes.

The company stated that the vessels will comply with international classification society standards and clean energy shipping regulations, featuring "green and intelligent" design characteristics.
