The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is set to accelerate the introduction of an action plan focused on integrating artificial intelligence with software. This initiative is part of the national strategy to advance the software industry.

At a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 20th, Tao Qing, the spokesperson for MIIT and Director of the Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau, outlined the ministry's forthcoming steps. The plan is to persistently strengthen the supply capacity of key software products and services.

A core component of this effort is the expedited rollout of the "Artificial Intelligence + Software" action plan. This scheme aims to drive the intelligent transformation of software development processes, foster intelligent upgrades for software products and services, and cultivate new business models centered on intelligent agent software.

Furthermore, the ministry will continue to enhance the capabilities of open-source infrastructure. This includes improving its role in project incubation, supply chain security governance, exploration of emerging application scenarios, and facilitating market expansion overseas.

Another key objective is to accelerate the development of national-level artificial intelligence open-source communities. The goal is to establish these communities as vital hubs for generating innovative emerging technologies and serving as key platforms for the practical implementation of both software and hardware products.
