Hong Kong Stock Moves: EDGE MEDICAL-B Surges Nearly 8% Again, Accelerating Domestic Substitution for Da Vinci, Overseas Installations Begin Ramping Up

Stock News08-11

EDGE MEDICAL-B (02675) rose nearly 8% again, trading up 6.83% at HK$41.3 as of press time, with a turnover of HK$22.9571 million.

On the news front, EDGE MEDICAL recently announced the completion of an investment in AI company Yuanhao Dynamics. This investment will further strengthen the company's capabilities in exploring "AI + surgical robot" intelligent surgery, laying a strategic foundation for embodied intelligent medical robot businesses. Yuanhao Dynamics focuses on the fifth-generation multimodal 4D world model, founded by a team with a Tsinghua background, with a technical direction directly aligned with "AI + surgical robot" embodied intelligence.

Huachuang Securities pointed out that in the domestic market, EDGE MEDICAL holds a leading domestic position, with its winning bid share ranking first among domestic manufacturers. As policies such as domestic service price projects and provincial-level centralized equipment procurement are implemented, the penetration rate of the domestic endoscopic surgical robot market is expected to increase rapidly. Domestic manufacturers like EDGE MEDICAL, leveraging their price advantages, are expected to further accelerate the substitution of Da Vinci systems. In overseas markets, the company's installations have begun to ramp up, the overseas supporting service system is gradually improving, and combined with the product's cost-performance advantage, the company has significant potential in non-US overseas markets.
