At the 2026 interim results conference held today, China Life Assistant President and Chief Actuary Hou Jin highlighted that as China's economy grows and income levels rise, public demand for health insurance coverage is becoming increasingly diverse. He noted that the company's business performance and claims data reflect a broadening trend across medical and critical illness insurance products.
Hou Jin explained that China Life has been advancing a diversified health insurance matrix to address these evolving needs. In terms of coverage duration, the company offers products ranging from one-month short-term plans to lifelong protection. Regarding coverage responsibilities, different policies provide one or more benefits, including medical expense coverage, disease protection, nursing care support, and income loss compensation.
In addressing diverse population segments, China Life provides both universal products for the general public and tailored health insurance solutions for children, elderly individuals, mothers and infants, emerging workforce groups, agricultural communities, certain chronic disease patients, and technology professionals. Hou Jin stressed that China Life will continue to uphold its insurance-for-the-people philosophy, actively responding to public expectations for health security and contributing stronger corporate strength to safeguarding national health.
