Indonesia's government announced on Monday that central bank governor Perry Warjiyo has resigned two years ahead of schedule.
State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi disclosed Warjiyo's resignation during a press conference in Jakarta, though Warjiyo himself was not present. Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti will serve as acting governor in the interim.
