Huafon Aluminium Reports First-Half Net Profit of 557 Million Yuan, Down 2.29% Year-on-Year

Stock News08-17

Shanghai Huafon Aluminium Corporation (SH: 601702) has released its semi-annual report for 2026, showing that during the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of 6.418 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.62%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached 557 million yuan, a decrease of 2.29% compared to the same period last year, while net profit attributable to shareholders excluding non-recurring gains and losses stood at 546 million yuan, up 1.10% year-on-year. Basic earnings per share came in at 0.56 yuan.

The company's first-half profitability experienced a slight year-on-year decline, impacted by a combination of multiple internal and external factors. On the external front, weak demand from the downstream automotive market, coupled with the cancellation of export tax rebates on aluminum products, international trade barriers, and intensifying industry competition, has led to an overall decline in processing fees within the aluminum processing sector, putting pressure on the company's comprehensive product processing charges. Internally, production cost increases arising from capacity bottlenecks in the hot-rolling process offset the profit contributions from scale expansion, resulting in a marginal decline in overall profitability levels.
