Yuanbao Red Packet Passwords Now Shareable on WeChat; Qwen's 1-Cent Milk Tea Sparks Frenzy, Resold on Secondary Platforms Starting at 6 Yuan

Deep News09:23

Recent tests conducted on February 7 revealed that links for Yuanbao red packets can now be shared within the Yuanbao platform using Apple mobile devices running version 2.57.0.260.

Between 21:29 and 21:49 on February 7, tests performed on both Apple and Android phones confirmed that WeChat now supports the copying of Yuanbao red packet passwords.

The competition among AI applications to distribute red packets has intensified as the Spring Festival approaches. After WeChat restricted sharing of red packet links from Yuanbao and Qwen, both platforms switched to a password-based sharing method.

However, according to earlier reports, starting on the afternoon of February 6, users were unable to copy password information after Yuanbao and Qwen red packet passwords were sent to WeChat chat interfaces.

Notably, Qwen's "Treat for Milk Tea" campaign has triggered a buying frenzy, with each cup priced at just one cent. Some users reportedly received up to 21 free milk tea orders.

On February 7, it was observed that individuals began reselling Qwen milk tea offers on secondhand trading platforms, with prices ranging from 6 to 10 yuan. Sellers claimed that by providing a delivery address and phone number, they could place orders on behalf of buyers.

Can Qwen’s free drink benefits be resold? In response, Qwen customer service stated that the free beverage entitlement is a virtual discount, non-transferable, non-giftable, non-resellable, and cannot be monetized in any form. Therefore, it may not be sold on secondary platforms. If users are found engaging in resale or malicious cash-out activities, the organizer reserves the right to revoke participation eligibility and freeze or reclaim all campaign benefits.

On February 7, Qwen officially announced that its free drink vouchers can be used until February 28, giving users 21 more days to redeem them. With the current peak period for milk tea orders, the company encouraged users to collect all 21 vouchers and redeem them gradually to avoid congestion, assuring that all vouchers will be honored.

Additionally, the free vouchers can be used at Hema for purchasing fish, vegetables, eggs, cakes, and New Year goods, as well as in the Qwen app for buying alcohol, snacks, grains, oils, daily necessities, fresh fruits, and other items from Tmall Supermarket.
