On November 5, value investor Duan Yongping said in a post on Xueqiu that when he bought Apple, the stock traded at “just over a 10x” price-to-earnings ratio, and he described Apple as “a good company that is not cheap.”

“Apple is indeed a good company that is not cheap,” he wrote. “When I bought it, Apple was still a very cheap good company (the PE seemed just over 10).” Duan added, “I miss those days of lying on Apple,” noting that he now “needs to spend more time on investing.”

His remarks appeared in response to an analysis post titled “Apple FY2026 Financial Report Analysis (PPT) - 20261105.” The post included tags for Apple, Alphabet (noted as “Google C”), and Microsoft. While the tagged companies were mentioned, Duan’s substantive comments centered on Apple’s valuation at the time of his purchase and his present view that Apple remains a good yet not inexpensive company, as conveyed in his post on November 5.
