QiXian XiaoChu, a subsidiary of JD.com, opened its first global Future Dining Experience Center at the Changying Tianjie Shopping Center in Beijing. At the same time, QiXian XiaoChu & Coffee launched its first "Meal + Beverage" comprehensive store.
According to reports, QiXian XiaoChu is pioneering unmanned kitchen cooking through three major embodied intelligence devices, bringing embodied intelligence into real dining consumption scenarios. The new consumption space integrates four major labels: "delicious, safe and reassuring with full visibility, a leading technology restaurant, and a science education base for children." It has also become an important model for JD.com's AI physical world operations center in the dining sector.
Unlike conventional cooking robots on the market that only serve as terminal production tools with front-of-house operations still handled by humans, the QiXian XiaoChu Changying Tianjie store achieves complete unmanned cooking operations in the back kitchen. As the core of the entire system, two back-kitchen vertical robots operate four cooking devices to produce most of the store's dishes. The "cooking embodied intelligence" is responsible for operating small cooking equipment. Customers can scan a QR code to place an order and enjoy three dishes including spicy stir-fried pork. QiXian Coffee's embodied intelligence handles the task of beverage delivery, with an automated production line preparing coffee drinks after consumers scan and order. In addition, the fully transparent open kitchen is one of the highlights. Consumers visiting the store can see the entire back-kitchen operation process, with robots completing the core cooking and delivery steps, achieving fully contactless cooking throughout the process and reducing food safety risks at the operational level.
Beyond technological iteration, QiXian XiaoChu strictly upholds its brand foundation of food safety. The store has upgraded four major food safety labels: "fresh ingredients, non-GMO oil, safe and delicious, AI ensures every bite is fresh." Major brand ingredients such as COFCO, CP Group, Haday, and Fulinmen Grade One non-GMO soybean oil are publicly disclosed. In addition to traceability of the origin of main ingredients, the store insists on delivering main ingredients from market to table within 48 hours, four stages of inspection from vegetable intake to cooking, and annual full testing of 150 pesticide residue items to ensure high-quality ingredients. An AI full-chain food safety monitoring system is also in place to control the entire chain from ingredients to processing to cooking, safeguarding table safety through multiple measures.
