Liaoning Province has achieved a new milestone in cross-border e-commerce logistics, as the first shipment combining bonded goods with non-bonded gifts in a single package cleared customs at the Shenyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, allowing merchants to reduce costs and consumers to receive fewer separate deliveries.
In recent years, the scale of cross-border e-commerce business in the province has continued to expand. In the first three quarters of this year, the Shenyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone processed over 2.32 million lists under the "1210" bonded import model, a year-on-year increase of 33.68%, and the marketing demand for merchants to include free gifts with orders has grown increasingly strong.
"For cross-border e-commerce, combining bonded main products with non-bonded free gifts is a common promotional method. In the past, due to differences in cargo supervision attributes, bonded goods and non-bonded gifts had to be declared separately and shipped under separate orders, forcing enterprises to bear additional packaging, sorting, and logistics costs, while consumers also had to receive their items in two separate deliveries," said Liu Chang, section chief of the First Supervision Section of the Liaozhong Customs under Shenyang Customs.
The more convenient the customs clearance services become, the more attractive Liaoning becomes for cross-border e-commerce enterprises to establish operations there. Shenyang Customs has now upgraded its auxiliary management system for special supervision zones, allowing enterprises to complete the consolidation of bonded goods and non-bonded gifts within the park, achieving unified delivery in the same package and the same vehicle, and one-stop delivery to consumers.
"Not only can they leave the zone in the same order and same vehicle, but the system also performs intelligent verification and the checkpoint releases goods in seconds. It is incredibly smooth!" said Zhang Bing, deputy general manager of Liaoning Zhitong Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.
