ZEEKR Legal Department Clarifies: Changsha and Changzhou Car Owner Events Maliciously Edited and Falsely Reported

Deep News01-14

On January 14th, in response to recent online misinformation, the ZEEKR Legal Department posted a statement on its Weibo account, pointing out that a large amount of false information regarding ZEEKR car owner events has recently appeared online. The related information, which maliciously spliced together on-site pictures and videos from car owner events in Changsha and Changzhou, supplemented with misleading interpretations, has been circulated in certain communities and illegal websites. Such actions severely distort the truth, not only damaging the reputation of the ZEEKR brand and its vast number of owners but also creating a negative impact on a healthy online ecosystem, constituting a serious violation of relevant laws and regulations governing internet information management.

First, clarification regarding the so-called "event gift being the item in the blue packaging box" This content is entirely fabricated. Verification confirms that the related picture was taken at the scene of the Changsha car owner annual event. The item in the picture was actually a personal belonging of an attendee and was not a gift from the event organizer. This scene was photographed by certain individuals and casually uploaded, then taken out of context and maliciously spread, leading to public misunderstanding.

Second, clarification regarding the so-called "dancing segment at the event" The video clip circulating online is actually a normal performance segment from the Changzhou car owner event. The performers were a local, formal dance troupe, and the performance contained no inappropriate elements.

Third, clarification regarding the connection between the two events The car owner events in Changsha and Changzhou were both spontaneously organized by local car owners; they are independent of each other, with no overlap in timing, location, or participants. Online rumors have forcibly linked the scenes from the two events and fabricated a so-called "overall incident," which is a complete falsehood.

We have completed the preservation of evidence for all infringing information and will immediately initiate legal proceedings to resolutely pursue the legal liability of the rumormongers, disseminators, and related platforms. The ZEEKR car owner club always advocates positive energy and a healthy lifestyle and will absolutely not tolerate any actions that defame the image of car owners or damage the brand's reputation.

We call on netizens and media organizations to respect the facts, voice opinions rationally, not to readily believe or forward unverified content, and to jointly maintain a clean cyberspace while supporting the healthy development of Chinese automotive brands and user culture.
