Fujian: Optimizing Innovation "Soft Environment" to Strengthen Development "Hard Support"

"These award-winning projects highlight the crucial supporting role of enterprises in the innovation chain, create substantial economic benefits, effectively boost the province's industrial upgrading, and also serve as a microcosm of Fujian's efforts to optimize the corporate innovation ecosystem," said a relevant official from the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Recently, Fujian held its "first meeting of the new year" – the Provincial Conference on Optimizing the Business Environment, where the "corporate innovation ecosystem" was singled out as a key agenda item for the first time. The 2026 Fujian Provincial Government Work Report proposed supporting enterprises in establishing R&D institutions and participating in major scientific and technological攻关.
