BEIJING AIRPORT Shares Surge Over 4% Following Q1 Profit Turnaround

BEIJING AIRPORT (00694) saw its shares rise more than 4%. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 4.42%, trading at HKD 1.89 with a turnover of HKD 10.85 million.

The increase follows the company's recent release of its results for the three months ended March 31, 2026. The airport operator reported revenue of RMB 1.413 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%. Notably, the company recorded a net profit of RMB 926,600, a significant improvement from a net loss of RMB 125 million in the same period last year.

In a previous analysis, Dongxing Securities indicated that BEIJING AIRPORT's status as an international aviation hub is firmly established. The firm believes the airport possesses strong long-term commercial value and expects its profitability to be gradually realized in the coming periods. In the short term, a new duty-free agreement is anticipated to contribute additional profit.
